Tom Vu
In my opinion, Tom Vu was a scamster whose late-night antics on cable TV provided much amusement for those of us with three-digit IQs. He pitched "no money down" real estate in infomercials that looked like half circus and half playboy mansion. I say this because they showed Tom Vu with bunches of scantily clad babes on a powerboat, or in a limo, or however else.
Tom Vu's used-building-salesman line only harvested the hopelessly stupid (who deserved it), though one might claim he was performing a public service. Sadly, he's no longer on cable, and from what I gather Tom Vu fans now have to look elsewhere for their daily giggle fix. Tom Vu - judging by his infomercial, you'd swear he was selling you broads in boats. Ironically he knows more about women than Real Estate.
I saw an episode of 60 minutes (or something like that) "interview" with him and some of his ex-students. They said that they followed his methods and didn't make any money and they were pissed that they spent all that money for the seminar, and have nothing to show for it. It would be interesting to see how long they actually did follow Tom's plan.
Tom Vu didn't have much to say during his portion of the interview. He's probably sitting back enjoying his wealth with all those foxy babes on his yachts!
Last I heard, Tom Vu was convicted of fraud and dozens of other charges relating to his company in Florida a couple of years ago, and is now serving time. Federal mail and wire fraud, I believe along with tax evasion, false advertising, etc.
It goes without saying that you needn't bother to locate any of his old materials. Not worth the paper their printed on in my opinion.
