  • NuSkin

From what I have heard, NuSkin requires a $35 initial membership fee, which is paid to the company and goes towards the cost of your distributor kit materials, and an annual renewal fee of $20. It's a neat marketing plan which really does give you the same chance as anyone else. Add fact that, once signed up, you deal direct with the company for both supplies of products, and your monthly commission checks, keeps things clean and simple. Your sponsor makes nothing from you signing up.

One interesting point is, it appears NuSkin has told all of their "distributors" to not mention the NuSkin name in any advertising or even on business cards that may be distributed en masse.

I think the reason is because many people get turned off just by hearing or reading the name of MLM's. Each of us has probably been approached by an MLM person, and more often than not the experience was not a good one.

NuSkin has also had some dealings with the FTC and the court system in general. NuSkin received some negative publicity in national magazines and newspapers. NuSkin may have cleaned up its act since then. Speaking for myself, I'd prefer to only get involved with a company that has had no problems at all.

NuSkin does have quotas and demands they put on their distributors. Nuskin requires a large personal volume to qualify for commissions and if you don't meet that volume, you don't qualify. You'll also probably have to buy inventory, and you have to collect money owed by customers yourself.
